The Brazilian artists responsible for the delightfully colourful painted cement silo project happening over at Granville Island are out of money and they want Vancouverites to donate about $100K to finish the project. "We went out on a limb, we trusted that the citizens of Vancouver and the world actually will respond … we had a budget established, but the cost of paint far exceeded any of our expectations" says one of the artists.
