As part of Outdoors Week 2014, Curbed searched for the best dog park in Vancouver. Ten contenders made the cut, and today we announce the winner of the poll.
The dog owners of Vancouver have spoken: John Hendry Park (also known as Trout Lake) in East Vancouver has won the coveted title of best dog park in Vancouver. The off-leash dog area is located at the north end of the beach and is frequently visited by pups looking to take a dip in the fresh water lake. Trees surround the picturesque lake and the North Shore mountains can be spotted in the distance. If you're lucky, (and an early bird) it is possible to find the north end of the beach virtually people-less and the water perfectly untouched - that is until your furry friend dives in for a morning swim.
