Is it just us or does the University of British Columbia seem to be in a constant state of development? Case in point: It was just announced that the proposed $40 million aquatic centre has been approved. Construction is scheduled to kick off in late July. The shiny new building will include a 10 lane Olympic sized pool, a lap pool for recreational use and a mega 35 person capacity hot tub. The new building plans to replace the current on campus facilities and is hoping for a fall 2016 completion date.
