In a city where heritage preservation is always a hot topic, here's a couple photos found on the streets of the city courtesy of Vancouver Vanishes. One commenter writes:
"My neighbours and I get calls and knocks on doors several times per day...one thing that has not been mentioned on group lately...or maybe I didn't see it...but one reason prices are rising is because of the fact that there is really no true city plan under this council. Most areas of the city allow a main home, suites and a lane home....the increased density policy of council is one reason for the rapid rise. Even if a developer thinks they have paid too much for land...they make their profit on the sale of the homes etc."
