City Narrows View Corridors In Mount Pleasant, Residents Sue

Residents in Mount Pleasant have filed a law suit with the BC Supreme Court against the city alleging that city officials have narrowed view corridors without the proper public consultation. The changes that have been set in place allow for developers to build condo towers upwards of 100 feet taller which would block off some enviable mountain and city views. Mount Pleasant has been a popular destination for developers who are looking to capitalize on the neighbourhood's growth potential, but residents who have been in the area long before it became the ultimate hipster destination insist that height restrictions must remain in place in order to protect the mountain views.
