The fate of the Lynn Valley Centre redevelopment site will soon be in the hands of the public as the proposed six tower development inches closer to a public hearing. If the project is approved, the Zellers building at the Lynn Valley Mall (what some call the ultimate eyesore) will be demolished and replaced with six residential towers varying in height from four storeys to 12 storeys. Along with sectioning of a portion for affording housing alternatives, the developers are also contributing $4.5 million for transportation improvements, public art, and trail improvements.
