Over the weekend, artist Janet Echelman's 745 foot long aerial sculpture was officially unveiled as part of the advanced opening of the TED conference. We got our hands on some stunning photos that capture all the gloriousness in day and night showcasing the fiber sculpture that is suspended between the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel and the Vancouver Convention Centre. Echelman has done similar installations across the globe but this piece, titled "Skies Painted with Unnumbered Sparks" is her biggest design yet. The coolest part about the netted sculpture? Crowds can choreograph the lighting of the fibers by waving their mobile devices.
