After finding out yesterday that the Urban Design Panel approved the design of the proposed International Village elementary school, we now have a shiny model which puts a face to the development. The site, located near Andy Livingstone Park, has been reserved for the development of the elementary school for many years and after the Urban Design Panels approval earlier this year, the elementary school is inching closer to reality. While previous images of the development were basic sketches, the above model was presented at the Urban Design Panel. The solar shades offer a pop of colour to an otherwise drab area. We're nominating this as potentially the coolest looking elementary school in Vancouver.
