Development Watch in South Van; North Shore Forced Sale

SOUTH VANCOUVER: A development application was submitted under the Rental 100 incentive program at 7350 Fraser Street. The project hopes to build a six-storey rental building with 96 units.

KING EDWARD: Pennyfarthing Development Corp. (yes, that's a real company name) wants to build a four-storey residential building at 357-391 West King Edward Avenue. Plans include 43 units and two-storey townhouses in the lane.

NORTH VANCOUVER: The BC Supreme Court approved the forced sale of Seymour Estates on Lytton Street on the North Shore to a developer. This decision forces residents out of their homes and likely their community as most residents claim they will be 'squeezed' out of the North Vancouver housing market.
