Cool Sculpture Thing

In celebration of this year's TED conference being hosted in Vancouver for the very first time, a Boston architect, who is speaking at the conference, is planning to construct a 700 foot aerial sculpture to be hoisted above ground from the top of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. The artist, Janet Echelman, has had her work featured across the globe and has even been recognized by Oprah, Architectural Digest, and the New York Times. This will be Janet's biggest project to date. [Vancity Buzz]
