At long last, the developer who has been credited as saving the 84 year old Hobbit House at King Edward Avenue and Ash Street has submitted a rezoning application to the city for their proposed townhouse project. The proposal shows 20 townhouses being built in addition to five coach houses. Aside from moving the Hobbit House a couple feet, the developer plans to incorporate the house into plans and has even applied to obtain a 'heritage designation' for the building which would prevent any exterior changes to the iconic Vancouver home. · Hobbit House Saved!
