Signs of anti-gentrification protesters are clear among the streets of the Downtown Eastside, specifically these posters by artist Savant that are plastered near the controversial restaurant Pidgin, which has been the target of protesters in recent days. Word on the street is that the restaurant has asked the posters to be removed (only to avoid confusion) and whoever is responsible will be facing fines if they remain displayed. Pidgin is not the only restaurant to be met with controversy, Cuchillo near Main and Powell has also been plagued with protesters who aren't pleased with the Downtown Eastside gentrification process.
