Another Day, Another Proposed Office Tower

A rezoning application has been submitted to build a 25-storey office tower at the corner of Seymour and Hastings Street where currently there is a public space and glass dome building. Wildly out of place, the glass dome will be demolished and a new 227,000 square foot office tower is hoping to be constructed. A smaller portion of the outdoor space will be saved and some ground floor retail will be created. The building is designed by B + H Architects and looks like a standard glass façade tower, except that it has this yellow (gold?) overhang at the entrance that sort of makes us feel like it's the magic carpet from Aladdin. Disney movies aside, Vancouver office tower development doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. · 25-Storey Office Building Proposed For 601 West Hastings [Vancity Buzz]
