Arrested Development

A gaming company is going up against the City of North Vancouver to amend the 18-year ban on commercial gaming on the North Shore, in hopes to develop a waterfront resort/casino. The development would include restaurants, retail, an expansion of the Pinnacle hotel, a theatre, skating rink, green space, and of course, let us not forget slot machines that will be the main factor to ensure this project could be financially viable. So far, the City of North Vancouver has rejected any meetings with the gaming company to discuss the development. [BIV]
