Residents at the former Olympic Village are going through same awfully chilly times these days since the heating system at the Kayak Building has failed and residents are sleeping in winter jackets. Side note: Can we all chuckle at how very Canadian the Kayak Building name is? Cliché building names aside, prior to determining the actual issue, residents were told the heating system was "weak" and to purchase space heaters to heat their nearly freezing apartments. Sounds like this can be added to the growing list of building deficiencies in the Village. [Metro News]
