Following the massive sale of the Canada Post building at Georgia and Homer Street earlier this year, rumour has that a new hotel development with a residential component could be setting up shop on the highly sought after corner location. After the tenant, Canada Post, decided to consolidate their offices out in Richmond, there has been wide spread chatter over what would be built on the site. There is very little hotel development happening downtown Vancouver and it has been said that perhaps a hotel would be a good idea. With Telus Garden hammering away at the construction of their mega-development one block up the street at Georgia and Richards Street and the recent rezoning application that was submitted by GWL for a 32 storey office tower at 753 Seymour Street, the area is going to see significant changes in the upcoming years.
