Vancouver's very own starchitect, Bing Thom, has been awarded the Margolese Prize, an award that is given to a "Canadian who makes outstanding constributions to the development or improvement of living environments for Canadians." The $50,000 prize has been given to the UBC's School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture. Thom has designed many notable buildings around Vancouver, including Surrey Centre Library, SFU Surrey Campus, and Sunset Community Centre. Check out these buildings and more here. [Vancouver Sun]
