This week marks the 75th birthday of Vancouver's very own Lions Gate Bridge and to celebrate, check out these historical photos of the iconic bridge that leads travellers to and from the North Shore and West Vancouver. The bridge was first opened to vehicle traffic on November 14, 1938. Though, the official opening date was May 26, 1939 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were in town for the occasion.
