The Wenonah Building located at 2703 Main Street in Mount Pleasant has sold for $6,500,000. The building was built in 1913 and maintains its character charm with stained glass window features and façade detailing. The building has 18 residential suites and ground floor retail. No word on what the owner has planned for the building but here's hoping it sticks around while Mount Pleasant fights back against development plans.
UPDATE: Thanks to commenter George we have now found out that the mastermind behind Lululemon, Chip Wilson, has purchased the building and plans to restore it to it's 'original glory.' Also, the stained glass windows have been implemented by the tenants who have saved bottles over the years and commissioned an artist to do each window. Very cool. Thanks George!
