It's Official: Bjarke Ingels' Beach & Howe Tower Is Approved

In a unanimous vote by City Council last night, the Bjarke Ingels 52-storey twisting tower has been approved and will be built by Westbank. The renderings have been receiving favourable reviews acknowledging the uniqueness of the triangular base of the tower and the interesting way it twists as it ascends into the sky. It will consist of a mix of residential and commercial space, in addition to transforming the dead zone area under the Granville Street bridge. Vancouver has nothing else like this in the city and the building is already being labelled a "landmark." Stay tuned for more as Curbed Vancouver tracks this exciting project. · Bjarke Ingels' BIG Tower Is Heading To Public Hearing [Curbed]
