The Hive Creative Labs music recording studio, which was built by Jimi Hendrix's cousin, has officially called it quits at their suburban studio blaming rising rents as the reason for closing. The Hive is the birth place for some of Canada's most talented indie records from Yukon Blonde, Ladyhawk, Black Mountain, and Dan Mangan. [Vancity Buzz]
